New Iberia A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Allen Phillip Tenney, Jr. ,64, who died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia.
Gift Bearers will be Raife Mamer and Aaden Christensen.
Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in New Iberia.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 and continue at 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Allen enjoyed motorcycles, being on the water and traveling. He loved going to the beach and New Orleans.
Allen was an animal lover. He enjoyed telling jokes and being the comedian.
Allen cherished spending time with his wife of 30 years. He also cherished the times he spent with his friends.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn Tenney of New Iberia; his mother, Bertha Hanks Tenney of New Iberia; his daughter, Danielle Tenney of Lafayette; his brothers, Randy Tenney and his wife, Vicky of St. Martinville, Mark Tenney and his wife, Linda of New Iberia and Ricky Tenney and his wife, Annette of New Iberia; his sisters, Linda Hebert and her husband, Preston of New Iberia, Gail Collins and her husband, Jerry of New Iberia, Sandy Bourque and her husband, Olan of Maurice, Cathy Bouton and her husband, Ulysse of New Iberia and Robin Breaux and her husband, Steve of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Tenney, Sr. and his nephew, Chad LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Mark, Randy and Ricky Tenney, David Christensen I, David Christensen II and Robert Boudreaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Taylor Boudoin, Blake, Jarred and Don Christensen,
