Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Alma Myra Ledet, 55, who passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 and continue on Wednesday at 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge.
A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Rev. Joseph Campion, will conduct the services. Reading the scriptures will be Linda Handy. Gift bearers will be Amir and Londyn Ledet.
Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge.
Alma retired after working at Martin Mills for 9 years and Dads convenience store for 10 years.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandkids.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years Ernest J. Ledet; her mother, Yvonne Velma Boyd; her maternal grandfather, Ashby Cormier; her sons, Chad (Tara) Broussard, Ernest D. (Tiffany) Ledet and Kenny (Dominesha) Ledet; her daughters, Selina (Joshua) Jones and Christie (Emmitt) Massie; her brothers, Kenneth (Brenda) Boyd and Nicholas (Stephanie) Boyd; her sisters, Rose Gotch, Debra (Francis) Williams and Yvonne (Alvin) Jones; her grandchildren, Jada Broussard, Galen Alexander, Kasyn Alexander, Amir Ledet, Kaeyon Alexander, Londyn Ledet, Chad Broussard II, Sage Broussard, Dalaisha Robicheaux, Nicholas Massie, Si Ledet, Daleah Ledet, Dortavean Jones, Kameron Jones, Nadera Jones, Jolie Jones, Chancey Jones and Kennydi Ledet.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenny Boyd; her maternal grandmother, Mable Skipper; her paternal grandparents, Alex and Bernadette Boyd and her brother-in-law, Nolan Joseph Gotch.
Pallbearers will be Jacoby Ledet, Reginald Ledet, Tyler Ledet, Kalen Wiltz, DeMarqus Sennet and Raylon Wiltz.
Honorary pallbearers will be Galen Alexander, Antonio Boyd, Kenneth Boyd, Nicholas Boyd, Chad Broussard, Joshua Jones, Ernest D. Ledet and Kenny Ledet.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.
