Almarie "Peggy" Whitmore Barilleaux passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, music, and unwavering devotion to those she cherished most.

Peggy's greatest joy in life was her family. She lovingly raised five children while maintaining a professional career, balancing both with strength, grace, and determination. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and music - and she made sure her children always knew they were her proudest accomplishment.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Peggy devoted countless hours in service to her church and community. She was a faithful member of the choir at St. Bernard Catholic Church, where her love for music and praise beautifully intertwined. Her dedication extended to the parishes of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. She also faithfully participated in weekly adoration, finding peace and strength in quiet moments with the Lord.

Peggy generously gave her time and heart to numerous organizations, including the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and Covenant House in New Orleans, always answering the call to serve wherever she was needed.

She had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for life's simple joys. Peggy loved camping, traveling, and making memories wherever the road would take her. Her two service trips to Combermere, Canada were especially meaningful, reflecting her missionary heart and desire to serve beyond her own community. Music was woven into the fabric of her life - she loved to sing, to dance, and to celebrate every occasion with joy.

Peggy will be remembered for her warm smile, her servant's heart, her beautiful voice, and the deep love she carried for her family and her faith.

She is survived by her sons, Kirk J. Barilleaux, Jr. (Debra), Gregory Barilleaux (Vickie) and Luke Barilleaux (Frannie); daughters, Maria Roseberry (Keith) and Danielle Huval (Todd); brothers, Joseph "Sonny" Whitmore; sisters Tini Whitmore and Nita F. Whitmore; grandchildren, Lea B. Boudreaux (Hunter), Holden J. Huval (Monica) and Calla Roseberry; great-grandchildren, Vivienne Boudreaux and Brooks Boudreaux.
