Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 pm on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Alta Begnaud, 81, who passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at The Carpenter House. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:30 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be prayed at 12:00 pm on Thursday. Fr. Bill Melancon will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. Alta enjoyed visiting with her family and friends, especially on Sunday. She loved playing latter ball, cooking, baking, and growing her beautiful flowers that came from her yard. Alta will be remembered for her kindness, love for others and her unique personality that would light up a room when she would enter. She is survived by her son, Donald Begnaud and her sister, Mary Begnaud both of Breaux Bridge. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raoul Begnaud, Jr.; parents, Clifton and Mary Hilda Patin Robertson; three sisters, Yvonne St. Julien, Beatrice DeRouen and Mary Hilda Robertson; brother, Cleveland Robertson.
