Angue Champagne

Cecilia- Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia, for Angue 'Rose' Legrande Champagne, 81, who passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011 at St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehab in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Michael Delcambre will officiate at the funeral Mass. The scriptures will be read by Rhonda Guidry and Gift Bearers will be Haden and Colleen Delhomme. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in Henderson. Mrs. Champagne worked at Pat's Restaurant in Henderson many years ago. In her free time she enjoyed playing Bingo and Pokeno and going on trips to the casinos. She was a wonderful cook and baker who loved to share her delicious treats with everyone. She loved spending time with her family and friends, but her most treasured times were those spent with her grandkids and great grandkids. Survivors include five grandchildren, Dana Chautin Delhomme and husband, Matthew, Jonathan Chautin, Cory Fisher and companion, Savanna Ludvich, Justin Chautin, and Stewart Chautin; and three great grandchildren, Haden and Colleen Delhomme and Naomi Fisher. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clemance W. and Louis 'Coon' Legrande, Jr.; her daughter, Leonaide 'Lonnie' Champagne Chautin; her husband, Malcolm Champagne; two sisters, Velma L. Mouton and Ann L. Hargruder; and two brothers, Dallas and Harold Legrande. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday and continue on Thursday at 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening. Pallbearers will be Michael Chautin, Matthew Delhomme, Jonathan Chautin, Stewart Chautin, Justin Chautin, and John Chautin. Pellerin Funeral Homeof Ceciliais in charge of arrangements.
