Cecilia - A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia for Anita Blanchard, 81, who passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Tuesday from 3:30 until 7:00 pm. It will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 am until the time of service at 10:00 am. 

Father Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Service. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. 

She is survived by her sons, Dexter Blanchard, Lynn Blanchard, Dean Blanchard and Jude Blanchard; sister, Betty Pronnake; seven grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Blanchard; father, Abel Zeringue; mother, Jeanne Schexnayder Zeringue; brothers, Anthony Zeringue and Roy Zeringue; and sister, Rose May Dupuis.
