Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, June 20, 2026 at St. Bernard Catholic Church honoring the life of Ann Laneaux Escoyne, 89, who passed away on June 12, 2026 at Brookdale Assisted Living.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 2:00 Pm until 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 7:00 Am until 11:30 AM.

A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Friday.

Rev Bill Melancon will officiate at the funeral mass. Readers will be Betty and Darrel Comb. Gift bearers will be her lovely three children.

Burial will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum - No. 2.

Born on October 16, 1936 in Breaux Bridge Louisiana, Ann lived full and amazing life, leaving behind a legacy of love and faith. Everyone she met was touched with her joy and genuine caring. Ann proudly took on the role of military wife in 1957 upon her marriage to Bannet, who served in the United States Air Force, traveling with him to numerous duty stations until "they" retired in 1979. Ann then went back to school and became a Surgical Tech at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital until her retirement in 1998.

She was a valued member of her church community serving as a Lector and a member of the choir for over 20 years at St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was a devoted member of Catholic Daughters.

Ann was an avid bowler, her and Benny bowled in leagues 3 - 5 times a week for over 50 years. They also enjoyed traveling the country to participate in bowling tournaments. She enjoyed selling Avon for many years, with many people remembering her fondly as their Avon Lady. Ann loved making new friends wherever she went and in all she did throughout her lifetime.

Ann is survived by her brother Patrick Laneaux, sister Rose Savoie, daughters, Kathy (Tony) LaCombe, Karen (Vernon) Tanner, son Tony (Tina) Escoyne, Grandchildren Stephanie (Bryan) Fetsch, Michael (Christian) Wiley, Lesley LaCombe, Thomas LaCombe, Jon (Bethany) Tanner, Daniel (Erin) Tanner, David (Alex) Tanner, and Courtney Escoyne and 19 great grandchildren.


She is preceded in death by her husband Bannet Escoyne, her parents Pierre and Antoinette Laneaux, and brothers Sidney, John, and Floyd Laneaux.


Pall Bearers will be Jon Tanner, David Tanner, Daniel Tanner, Michael Wiley, Thomas LaCombe, and Nathan Crouch.

Pellerin Funeral Home (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
