Ann Laneaux Escoyne

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Ann Laneaux Escoyne, 89, will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Ann passed away on June 12, 2026, at Brookdale Assisted Living.

Visitation will be held at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM on Friday.

Rev. Bill Melancon will officiate the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Betty and Darrel Comb, and the gift bearers will be Ann’s three beloved children.

Burial will follow at St. Bernard Mausoleum No. 2.

Born on October 16, 1936, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Ann lived a full and remarkable life, leaving a legacy of love and faith. Her joy and genuine care touched everyone she met. In 1957, after marrying Bannet, who served in the United States Air Force, Ann embraced life as a military wife and traveled with him to numerous duty stations until “their” retirement in 1979. She later returned to school and became a Surgical Tech at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, where she worked until retiring in 1998.

She was a valued member of her church community serving as a Lector and a member of the choir for over 20 years at St. Bernard Catholic Church. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Daughters.

Ann was an avid bowler; she and Benny bowled in leagues 3 - 5 times a week for over 50 years. They also enjoyed traveling around the country to participate in bowling tournaments. She enjoyed selling Avon for many years, with many people remembering her fondly as their Avon Lady. Her warm smile and friendly nature allowed her to make friends wherever she went, and she treasured those friendships throughout her life.

Ann is survived by her brother, Patrick Lanaux; sister, Rose Savoie; daughters, Kathy (Tony) LaCombe and Karen (Vernon) Tanner; son, Tony (Tina) Escoyne; grandchildren, Stephanie (Bryan) Fetsch, Michael (Christian) Wiley, Lesley LaCombe, Thomas LaCombe, Jon (Bethany) Tanner, Daniel (Erin) Tanner, David (Alex) Tanner, and Courtney Escoyne; and 19 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bannet Escoyne; her parents, Pierre and Antoinette Cormier Laneaux; and her brothers, Sidney, John, and Floyd Laneaux.

Pallbearers will be Jon Tanner, David Tanner, Daniel Tanner, Michael Wiley, Thomas LaCombe, and Nathan Crouch.
