Anna Babineaux

BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, January 13, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Anna Louella Berard Babineaux, 78, who passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Babineaux was a member of the Garden Club and the Rosary Group. She was very active in her community and willingly offered her assistance to any project that was going on. Anna was known to be meticulous about her yard and enjoyed working in her flowerbeds. She was a wonderful baker and loved making her famous cinnamon rolls for everyone to enjoy. Survivors include her son, Jerry James Babineaux and wife, Sheila, of Opelousas; four brothers, Jerry 'Doggay' Berard and wife, Barbara, of Breaux Bridge, John Berard and wife, Rona, of Walker, Darrell Berard, and Mike Berard and wife, Billie, all of Breaux Bridge; one sister, Linda Pontiff and husband, Ronald, of Arnaudville; and one granddaughter, Sophie Babineaux. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Babineaux; two sons, David and E.J. Babineaux; her parents, Walter and Theresa Serrette Berard; and two brothers, George and Antoine Berard.
