St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, on Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Anna Belle Guidry, 83, who passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Notre Dame Catholic Church from 7:00 am until 9:30 am on Saturday. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Anna Belle was a grandparent to the Early Learning Center. She loved reading, gardening, cooking and cleaning her house. Anna Belle will be remembered for her joyous smile and the love she had for her family. She will also be remembered for heading all family events, from cooking to catering to everyone's needs. Anna Belle will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sons, Rodney Roberts and wife Genevieve of Breaux Bridge, Shantley Guidry and wife Lori of Concord, CA, Graylin Guidry and wife Donna of Spring, TX and Kendall Guidry and wife Leslie of Stafford, TX; daughter-in-law, Edith Roberts of Cade; sisters, Elsie Gedward of St. Martinville, Vernella Michael of Bossier City, Mary Louise Ambroise and husband Marvin, Sr. of St. Martinville; brothers, Roy Roberts, Sr. of St. Martinville, Samuel Roberts, Jr. of St. Martinville, Harry Joseph Roberts, Sr. of St. Martinville, Collin Roberts of Parks; Grandchildren, Shontell, Wayne, Jr., Shertonya, Rockella, Tamasha, Brandon, Channing, Bryce, Ariel, Jontry, Tyler, Kyle and Paige; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Guidry; parents, Samuel and Celine Roberts; son, Wayne Roberts, Sr.; and a great-great grandchild, Bria Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Roberts, Jr., David Willis, Dexter Ambroise, Marvin Ambroise, Jr., Myles Potier and Bryce Roberts.
Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Roberts.
There will be a repass for family and friends, following services, at Notre Dame Parish Hall.
