Breaux Bridge A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Anna Mae Degeyter New, 72, who passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2013, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Tuesday and continue at 8:00 am until 10:30 am on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the Mass. Reading the scriptures for the service will be June Degeyter and Jane Allemand. Gift Bearers will be Courtney and Ethan New. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Anna treasured her time spent with her family and friends. She was a parishioner of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Charles New of Breaux Bridge; her son, Brian (Danica) New of Lafayette; her brothers, James (Norma) Degeyter of Arnaudville, Lannie (June) Degeyter of Eunice, John Lee Degeyter of Parks; her sister, Betty Ann Degeyter (Paul) Allemand of Parks; her grandchildren, Courtney New and Ethan New. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Lillian Quebedeaux Degeyter; her sister, Mary Rose Faccio; her brother in law, Ralph Faccio. Pallbearers will be James Degeyter, Lannie Degeyter, Tommy Allemand, Troy Allemand, Greg Degeyter and Chris Degeyter.
