April Bashay

New Iberia – Private services will be held at a later date for April Marie Bashay, 44, who passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, in New Iberia.

A native and lifelong area resident, April was born on April 14, 1979, to John Broussard, Sr., and Gladys Landry Broussard. She worked as a supervisor for Home Sweet Home Personal Care. April had a passion for helping others. She loved spending time with her family and her pets.

Survivors include her husband, Tyentae Bashay; mother, Gladys Landry Broussard; and her siblings, John Broussard, Jr. (Karen), Christopher Broussard (Bridgette), and Elizabeth “Liz” Derouen (Richard).

April was preceded in death by her father, John Broussard, Sr.
