Arthur David Land, Sr.

New Iberia – Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Arthur David Land, Sr., 90, who passed away on May 12, 2025.

Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.

Deacon Josh LeBlanc will officiate.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home. A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 pm.

A longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Land was born on September 28, 1934, in Port Barre, to the late Arthur Perry Land and Alice Futral Land. He retired from Texaco after 35 years of service and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Land enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and crawfishing. He will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his children, Laurie Land O’Quinn (Dan) of New Iberia and Arthur “Davey” David Land, Jr. (Diane) of Scottsboro, Alabama; stepchildren, Dawn Lynd, Lori McDuffie, John Gottschalk, Michele Dove (Wayne), and Kelly Aucoin (Cindy); several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death first wife, Jeanne Leger Land; second wife, Carol Colgin Land; daughters, Kathleen Miller and Paula Guidry; son-in-law, Johnny Miller; sister, Carolyn Ernst; and brothers, Ward Land and Thomas Land.
