Arthur Ledet

St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at House of Love Church in St. Martinville, for Arthur Joseph Ledet, 57, who passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 7:00 am until 10:45 am on Saturday at House of Love Church in St. Martinville. Pastor Oscar Gray will officiate at the Funeral Service. Interment will follow at House of Love Cemetery in St. Martinville. Arthur enjoyed fishing, barbecuing, keeping up his yard, and flipping channels on the television. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Benjamin Ledet; his son, Arthur (Danielle) Ledet; seven brothers, Willie (Susan) Henry, John (Connie) Henry, Michael (Stella) Henry, Walter (Geneva) Henry, Joseph Henry, Anthony (Monica) Henry, and Terry (Katrina) Henry; four sisters, Pastor Labanna V. Andrus, Theresa (Charles) Loston, Flora (Clifton) Allen, and Catherine (Newman) Batiste; and three grandchildren, Aleah Ledet, Bryson Ledet, and Arthur Ledet, Jr. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry, Sr. and Mary Ann Ledet; and his sister, Savanna Orphe. Pallbearers will be Alton Batiste, Travis Benjamin, Calvin Ledet, Tharon Allen, Elwood Orphe, Jr., and Dre Fuselier. Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Henry, Walter Henry, William Benjamin, Darnell Benjamin, Jessie Benjamin, Palmer James, Jr., Marcus Benjamin, Nathan Long, and Kelly Long.
