Audrey Mae Guidry Chretien

Cade - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Cade for Audrey Mae Guidry Chretien, 76, who passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1639 Old Spanish Trail, Cade, La 70519, from 8:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday.

A rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Saturday.

Fr. Ryszard Zawadzki, SVD will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial.

Scripture will be read by Lisa George, April Sam and Sybil Guidry. Prayer of the Faihful will be read by Matashia Campbell. The obituary will be read by Alana N. Guidry. A message from Audrey will be read by Teneisha Wright and Sarah Comeaux will be reading a poem as requested by Audrey.

Gift bearers will be Yvonne and Erin Guidry. Sarah Guidry will be reading a poem that was special to Audrey.

Interment will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Cade.

Audrey was born April 26, 1945. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Audrey was a devoted Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed listening to music, crossword puzzles and praying the rosary. Her time spent with her family was cherished, and Audrey will be deeply missed by them.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joseph Melton Chretien; son, Marcus Chretien (Paulette); daughter, Rebecca Chretien; grandchild, Kevon Chavis; siblings, Verna Jolivette, Evelyn Caldwell (Martin Breaux), Allen Guidry Sr. (Gracie), Sarah Comeaux, Yvonne Guidry and James Carson; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Rebecca Paris Guidry; and siblings, Barbara Washington and James "Jimmy" Guidry.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Chretien, Irvin Guidry, John Comeaux, Jason Caldwell, Tyronne Caldwell, Trevis Guidry, Brandon Gardner, and Eric Gardner.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Melton Chretien, Kevon Chavis, James Carson, Kirk Walker and Allen Guidry Sr.
