Autoine 'J.C.' Mouton

Milton A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Monday, March 31, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton for Autoine JC Mouton, 95, who died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in Lafayette. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM at the church. A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 AM Monday. A native of Abbeville, Mr. Mouton was born on November 24, 1918 and was the retired owner of the Maison Mouton Hotel in downtown Lafayette for 50 years. He was a wise and sincere person who loved and cared for many. Mr. Mouton is survived by his extended family, Angelina Blaze of Lafayette, Lucky Blaze of Lafayette, Alice Blaze and husband Leroy of Coteau, Dylan Guidroz of Cecilia; his dearest friends, John McGoffin of Lafayette, Charles Hollier of Lafayette, Dave Falgout of Delcambre; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Benoit Mouton; and his parents, Emile and Eukarisse Boudoin Mouton. Pallbearers will be Dave Falgout, Lonnie Guidry, John McGoffin, Lucky Blaze, Dylan Guidroz, Kyle Etie, Chris Huckaby, and Charles Hollier. The family would like to give special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice, especially his nurse Radessa, his caregivers, Alice Blaze, Lonnie Guidry, Mary Broussard, and Prenella Sealy.
