New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, April 15, 2016, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in New Iberia, for Barbara LeBlanc Hebert, 76, who passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016, in New Iberia.
Entombment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.
Rev. Steve LeBlanc will be the Celebrant.
A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Thursday. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hebert was born on April 28, 1939, and was a 1957 graduate of Mount Carmel Academy. She worked for Judge Tilly in the City Clerk of Court Office, and then for DJW Insurance for 19 years. Mrs. Hebert was a former president of the VFW Auxiliary, and she enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States and abroad. She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Craig G. Hebert and wife Lisa of New Iberia, Wendell P. Hebert and wife Michelle of New Iberia, Danette Ardoin and husband Jason of New Iberia; grandchildren, Justin Hebert of New Iberia, Mason Hebert of New Iberia, Alaina Hebert of New Iberia, Brandi Romero and husband Saul of New Iberia, Blaire Ardoin Lemaire and husband Thomas of New Iberia; great grandchildren, Caiden Romero, Cortland Romero, and Addison Lemaire.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Daniel Simon Hebert; father, Fred J. LeBlanc, and mother, Aline Lachausse LeBlanc.
Pallbearers will be Saul Romero, Thomas Lemaire, Jason Ardoin, Mason Hebert, Craig Hebert, and Wendell Hebert.
Honorary pallbearers include Mark Rouly, Justin Hebert, Otis Rouly, and Ron Rouly.
The family would like to give special to give special thanks to the staff of AAA Home Health Care, Bridgeway Hospice Staff and Nurses, Natalie Aucoin, Jamaisha Lewis, Shirley Butler, and Pam Hypolite for their extraordinary care and compassion.
Mrs. Heberts words of wisdom, Always tell your husband you love him and your children how much they mean to you, and grandchildren, just go every day and play and enjoy just having them.
