Parks - Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks, for Barbara Ann Belaire Hollier, 75, who passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at her residence. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Fr. Stephen Ugwu officiated at the Funeral Mass. Gift Bearers were Rebecca Manser and Brandi Major. Barbara was employed at St. Martin Infirmary for seven years and then went on to work at St. Martinville Nursing and Rehab as a Ward Clerk for 28 years. She was dedicated to her family as well as her profession and provided the utmost compassionate care to her patients. She will forever be remembered for her wonderful smile and her valued work ethics which fulfilled her life. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing Yahtzee with her family and friends, and watching game shows and Food Network. Survivors include her son, Eddie Hollier and his wife, Shannon, of San Antonio, TX ; three daughters, Debbie Kennedy and her husband, Michael, of Shreveport, Gloria Major, and Beverly Manser and her husband, James, all of Parks; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, David Hollier; her mother, Antonia Belaire; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Manser. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday and continue on Friday at 8 a.m. until time of service. A rosary was recited on Thursday evening. Pallbearers were Joshua Dupre, Roy, Gary, Yancy, Joshua, and Justin Blanchard, Cy Guidry, Robert Sauer, and Ronald Stelly. Honorary pallbearers were James Manser and Eddie Hollier.
