Barbara 'Aunt Boo' Pinell Thibodeaux

Lydia - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Jeanerette, for Barbara "Aunt Boo" Pinell Thibodeaux, 78, who passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016. A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia on Wednesday, August 17, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday at Calvary Pentecostal Church from 9:00 AM until services at 11:00 AM. Brother Albert Lyles will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Patoutville. Barbara "Aunt Boo" Thibodeaux was born on January 16, 1938 in Louisa, LA to Mabel and Harry "Babe" Pinell. She was a longtime area resident, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Aunt Boo was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church in Jeanerette, and was an avid reader. She also loved hummingbirds, playing the accordian, and all things outdoors. She grew up country and stayed country her whole life. Aunt Boo is survived by two daughters, Sara LaBiche of New Iberia, and Emma Valentine and husband Robert of Katy, TX; two sons, Eric J. Thibodeaux of Nederland, TX, and Kevin M. Thibodeaux and wife Tanya of Lydia; four brothers, Harry Pinell, Jr. and wife Lequita of Erath, Charles Pinell and wife Elizabeth of Jennings, Arlen Alexander and wife Cathy of Jeanerette, Jackie Alexander and wife Jessie of TX; brother-in-law, Peter J. Firmin of Baldwin; sister-in-law, Josie Pinell of Franklin; a sister, Delores Williams and husband Jessie; and her mother, Mabel P. Alexander of Jennings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junius J. Thibodeaux, Jr.; a son, Junius J. Thibodeaux; III, a sister, Lois Firmin; a brother, Ronald Pinell, Sr.; and fathers, Harry J. "Babe" Pinell, Sr., and Rev. Titus C. Alexander, Pallbearers will be Kevin M. Thibodeaux, Robert Valentine II, Robert Valentine III, Dustin Thibodeaux, Jonathon Thibodeaux,and Rylie West. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Pinell Jr., Charles Pinell, Colin Thibodeaux, Cane Thibodeaux, Jackie Alexander, Arlen Alexander, Peter Firmin, and Brad Valentine.
