Barry was a native of Moreauville, LA, and a longtime resident of Breaux Bridge. ?He retired from Pellerin Marble & Granite in 2002 and moved to St. Francisville, where he began working in land management for Marine Industrial Fabricators. ?
While living in Breaux Bridge, Barry was an active member of the Breaux Bridge Volunteer Fire Company, serving as Assistant Chief and retiring with 26 years of dedicated and unselfish service to St. Martin Parish and the community of Breaux Bridge. ?
He was an avid hunter who enjoyed and looked forward to spending time with his family and friends, hunting deer, turkey and other wild game. ?He was fortunate to be able to fish in the pond in his own front yard, and he looked forward to having his granddaughter, ""Maddie,"" over on weekends to spend some time with him. ?Barry also loved gardening and welcomed the opportunity to share his vegetables with anyone who happened to drop by for a visit. ?
He was a kind and patient man - a man of his word, who provided for his family, his friends, and his community. ?He gave his heart and soul to anyone who needed help, never once seeking recognition for himself for what he did for others. ?Barry never met a stranger and didn't know the word ""no"" - if you were privileged to have known Barry, you were considered a friend for life. ?Barry will be deeply missed by his family, his friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
