Beatrice 'Queen B' Derouselle

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Beatrice "Queen B" Alex Derouselle, 91, who passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 7:30 am until 10:00 am on Saturday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 8:00 am on Saturday. Fr. Jerome will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Breaux Bridge. Mrs. Derouselle, also known as "Queen B", worked at the St. Martin Parish Council on Aging for many years. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, joking around, shopping, and entertaining her family and friends. Her most cherished times and memories were those spent with her family and friends. She is survived by her loving son, Dieudonne Henry Derouselle and wife Sheryl of Breaux Bridge; sister, Rose Noel of Breaux Bridge; and her grandchildren, Monica Ren Godeau and spouse Bruce of Houston, TX, and Michael R. Derouselle of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wilson Derouselle; and her parents, Henry and Antonia Noel Alex.
