Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 27, 2026 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church honoring the life of Bebeanna "Bebe" L. Pitte, 97, who passed away on June 10, 2026 at Landmark of Rayne.

A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Saturday from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 AM on Saturday. Words of encouragement by Pastor Charles E. Banks, Sr. will follow at 9:00 AM.

Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the funeral mass. Readers will be Cassie Gauthier and Judy Richard. Gift bearers will be Dennis and Diane Frederick.

Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. Repast will take place immediately after in the St. Rose of Lima Hall. 

Bebeanna was born on September 11, 1928 in Cecilia. She led a life filled with love, service, and creativity.

Bebeanna was a dedicated parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and an active member of St. Anne's Organization. Her talents as a licensed beautician and seamstress brought joy to many. She lovingly crafted beautiful pieces for many Mardi Gras Associations and worked in decorating and upholstery. Her many talents also led her to handling alterations at JC Penny as well as serving as the Lead Cook in the former Northgate Mall location. Bebeanna also served as a Nanny for several families and was a custodian in the St. Martin Parish School System, always willing to lend a helping hand and volunteer her time to those in need. She was a great mother, grandmother, great, great-great, great-great-great grandmother, sister and friend to many. In honoring her memory, we remember Bebeanna as a pillar of strength, love, and community. May she rest in eternal peace.

She is survived by her daughter, Nettie Butler and her children, Orrin LeBlanc (Amy), Karen Francis, James G. LeBlanc, Jr. (Savanna), and Cassandra LeBlanc; daughter, Edna Williams and her children, Denise Williams and Tremayne Williams (Vita); son, Joseph Cormier, Jr. and his children, Ralph LaStrapes, Joseph Cormier, III (Kelly), and Takina Cormier; daughter, Patricia Richard Austin and her children, Damian Richard, Manuel Richard, Tiffany Thorton (TJ), Armondo Cage (Tiara), Casey Cage, and spiritual daughter, Iris Woods; siblings, Myrtle Singleton and Gertrude Breaux (Allen); twenty-two great grandchildren, seventeen great-great grandchildren, ten great-great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Lionel LeBlanc; mother, Edna Jean Batiste Frederick; step father, George Frederick, Sr.; siblings, George Frederick, Jr., Steven LeBlanc, and infant brother, Georgewell LeBlanc; grandchildren, Jonathan Joe and Willie Joe; sons-in-law, Harold Butler and Robert Earl Austin; nieces and nephews, Larry LeBlanc, Marshall Frederick, Louanna Singleton Green, and Susanna Frederick; great nephew, Keith Francis; brother-in-law, Weston Singleton, Sr. and sister-in-law, Willa Mae Frederick.

Active pallbearers will be Ralph Lastrapes, Roland Frederick, Larry Frederick, Tremayne Williams, James G. LeBlanc, Jr., and Damian Richard. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Bennett Cormier, Joseph Bennett Cormier, III, Manuel Richard, Orrin LeBlanc, Michael LeBlanc, Harold Singleton, Henry Singleton, Israel Singleton, Leo Pete, Raymond Frederick, Dennis Frederick, Gilbert Matthew, Weston Singleton, Jr., and Robert Frederick. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Wartelle Castille and Staff of Lafayette, LA; Audubon Home Health of Lafayette, LA; Extended Family, Inc. of Breaux Bridge, LA; Share Care of Lafayette, LA; VitalCaring of Lafayette, LA; Landmark of Rayne, LA; the Fellowship Full Gospel Ministries church family (under the leadership of Pastor Charles E. Banks, Sr. and First Lady Lechia M. Banks) of Lafayette, LA, as well as everyone who reached out in support with thoughts and prayers.
