Benita was born on March 26, 1960 in Saint Martinville. Benita was a woman of quiet strength and deep love, someone whose presence made a house feel like home. She gave of herself selflessly, always putting those she loved at the center of her world. Her kindness, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family defined her life.
Benita enjoyed spending time with her partner, Wheeler, and dogs, Buster and Gizmo, watching the sunsets and listening to the birds. She loved crafting, and cooking for anyone who wanted a taste of real Cajun cooking. Benita was the life of the party everywhere she went wasn't afraid to let everyone know it.
She found beauty in everyday moments and had a way of bringing comfort just by being near. Her love will continue to echo through the lives she touched. In the traditions she created, the lessons she passed down, and the memories that will never fade.
Though she is no longer with us, her spirit remains woven into the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her partner of 20 years, John Wheeler; sons, Travis Boudreaux, Steve Boudreaux (Heather); brother, Tommy Borel (Linda); sisters, Karen Melancon (Ricky) and Gina Borel (Scotty); grandchildren, Aiden Boudreaux, Addison Boudreaux, Alexis Boudreaux, Avery Boudreaux and Parker Boudreaux.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Borel and Laura Borel.
Pallbearers will be Steve Boudreaux, Travis Boudreaux, Avery Boudreaux, Aiden Boudreaux, Asher Irving and Parker Boudreaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Melancon and John Wheeler.
