Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm, Monday, October 10, 2022, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Berton Joseph Albert, 64, who passed away at Ochsner St. Martin Hospital.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Monday from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 AM on Monday.

Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert will officiate at the funeral service.

Berton Joseph Albert was born September 30, 1958, in St. Martin Parish. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching football, and visiting with his family and friends on the front porch. Berton loved his family and was always concerned about their future and wanted them to be prepared in life. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Dusty Albert (Amber); daughters, April Albert (Joseph Huval), Renella Bernard (Daniel Breaux), and Edna Cortez (Jeremy); grandchildren, Logan Huval, Shawna Bernard, Kalie Huval, Gage Bernard, Jude Bernard, Taydon Gautreaux, Laiylah Albert, Madelyn Duhon, Nyah Albert, Jullian Cortez, Eaven Duhon, Guhner Albert, Aubreigh Albert, Stryker Albert and Piper Cortez; 7 great grandchildren; siblings, Wilbert  Albert (Betty), Sidney Mae Albert, Clara Wiltz (Stanley), Clesma Albert, and Roland (Jeanine) Albert.

He is preceded in death by parents, Moise and Amanthe Louviere Albert; grandchildren, Brandon Broussard and Bailey Bernard; siblings, Russell Albert, Moise Albert, Jr., Florence Hebert, Lorraine Louviere, Irene Theriot, Helen Bienvenu, and Livia Olivier; and his companion, Judy Knott.

Pallbearers will be Randall Olivier, Gage Bernard, Jude Bernard, Logan Huval, Dee Berard, and Jullian Cortez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Taydon Gautreaux, Eaven Duhon, Guhner Albert and Stryker Albert.
