Betty Knott Courville

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for Betty Faye Knott Courville, 57, who passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at St. Martin Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 11:00 am on Tuesday and continue until 12:45 pm on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm on Tuesday. Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert will officiate at the Funeral Service. Scriptures will be read by Brittni Courville and Lacey Menard. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge. Betty loved collecting and shopping for antiques at garage sales. She enjoyed cooking, drinking coffee, smoking a cigarette, and playing Poker machines. Betty especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, John Courville, Jr. of Breaux Bridge; her son, Shannon Theriot and his wife, Tammy, of Breaux Bridge; two step sons, Joel Tauzin of New York and Tucker Huval and his wife, Jessica, of Breaux Bridge; her step daughter, Brittni Courville of Breaux Bridge; her daughter-in-law, Casey M. Latiolais of Parks; eight grandchildren, Allie Theriot, Katie Theriot, Skylee Theriot, Sye Theriot, Sebastian Huval, Blake Huval, Reagan Huval, and Bryson Huval; two uncles, Curley Knott and Vinne Theriot; and her godchild, Kelly Boudreaux Robin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Dawn Theriot Knott; her son, Brian Joseph Theriot; her daughter, Marty Faye Melancon; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ovan Knott and Arielle and Armos Theriot; two uncles, Bradley and Adley Knott; and two aunts, Shirley and Genevieve Knott. Pallbearers will be Shannon Theriot, Joel Tauzin, Tucker Huval, Jody Franklin, Shane Theriot, and Nikki Knott. Honorary pallbearers will be Sye Theriot, Mytrel Theriot, and Corey Courville.
