Betty Dauphine

Parks- Funeral services will be held at 10 a .m. on Saturday, February 12, 2011 , at St. Louis Chapel in Parks, for Betty Mae Dauphine, 58, who died on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at St. Martin Hospital in Breaux Bridge . Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville. Father Stephen Ugwa will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Betty was a lifelong parishioner of St. Louis Chapel in Parks, where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the St. Louis Rosary Group. Survivors include two sons, Derrick Dauphine and his wife, Angelle, and Kyrin Dauphine; one daughter, Kayla Mallery and her husband, Nolan, all of Parks; six brothers, Archille Dauphine and his wife, Augustine, Wilbert Dauphine and his wife, Evelyn, Wilfred Dauphine and his wife, Jo-Ann, all of Houston, TX, Carol Dauphine of St. Martinville, Lewis Dauphine, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, and Walter Dauphine and his wife, Rene, all of Parks; her sister, Linda Dauphine of Parks; and seven grandchildren, Malik Mallery, Jayvien Mallery, Delian Mallery, Davonta Dauphine, Dasha Sinegal, Markell Chambers, and Jandi Potier. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Aurelia Joseph Dauphine; three brothers, Deionne, Paul and Gerald Dauphine; and her sister-in-law, Caroline Dauphine. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 7 a .m. until 9:15 a.m. A rosary will be recited on Friday evening.
