BreauxBridge - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, August 26, 2011, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge, for Betty Jane Hebert Giandelone, 70, who passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Fr. Allen Breaux will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Shirley Babb and Betty Rulf. Gift Bearers will be Joni, Jaci, and Jami Giandelone. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery in Jeanerette. Betty was an emergency room and surgical nurse for many years and worked as an accounting clerk previously at Venture Transport and presently for Gulf Offshore Logistics. She was also a Director of Delgado School of Nursing in Lafayette, LA. Survivors include two sons, Joey Giandelone, Sr. and his wife, Alicia, of Broussard, and Johnny P. Giandelone and his wife, Connie, of Morgan City; one daughter, Janet Giandelone Broussard, Ph.D., and her husband, William Keith Broussard of Cecilia; one sister, Karen Viator of Lafayette; and six grandchildren, Joni, Jaci, Jami, and Joey Giandelone, Jr., Derek Latiolais, and Justin Broussard. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paulton Hebert and Lula Mae Dooley McCloud. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday and continue on Friday at 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pallbearers will be Joey Giandelone, Sr., Johnny P. Giandelone, Johnny J. Giandelone, Joey Giandelone, Jr., Derek Latiolais, and a Special Friend.
