New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Monday, September 14, 2026, for Betty Boudoin LeBlanc, 86, who passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 11, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Entombment will follow in the church cemetery.
Rev. Ed Degeyter will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be at Pellerin Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will resume on Monday from 8:00 am until 9:15 am.
A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:00 pm on Sunday.
A longtime resident of New Iberia, Betty Jane Galliano Boudoin LeBlanc was born in Houma, Louisiana on October 20, 1939, to the late Gibson Galliano and Irene Mary LeBouef Galliano Bourg. She was a proud member and past president of Woodmen of the World Women’s Auxiliary and worked as office manager of Howard Brothers for many years.
Betty had many interests and talents. She was an excellent cook and baker, and she cherished time spent with family gathered around her table for meals she lovingly prepared. Betty enjoyed playing Pokeno and Bingo, going to the casino, Zydeco music and dancing. She will be deeply missed.
Mrs. LeBlanc is survived by her children, Wilton Boudoin, Jr. (Mary), Tammy Boudoin (Russ Erikson), Connif Boudoin (Tricia), Dana Carte (Jim), and Brandi Fitch (Nicholas); sons-in-law, Steven LeBlanc, Sr. and Mike Simon; sisters, Eula Mae Eschete and Eva Mary Boudwin; grandchildren, Pam LeBlanc, Lori Louviere, Joshua Boudoin, Gabe Boudoin, Nicholas Simon, Katelyn Simon, Derek Breaux, Grant Breaux, Brooks Boudoin, Bree Gallo, Morgan Boudreaux, Lori Hutchins, Dylan Carte, Tyler Carte, Caleb Fitch, and Maddox Fitch; great-grandchildren, Kasey Delcambre, Scotty Landry, Hans Louviere, Bronson Louviere, Joseph Boudoin, Joshua Boudoin, Lucas Swinehart, Tyler Taylor, Gracie Taylor, Drew Breaux, Ben Breaux, Mason Russo, Juliette Breaux, Carter Boudoin, Kyson Breaux, Alaina Boudoin, Lucy Gallo, Stella Gallo, Brodie Hutchins, Kain Hutchins, and Steven LeBlanc, III.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Wilton Boudoin, Sr., Raymond Borel, and Nelson LeBlanc; daughters, Mona Boudoin Simon and Barbara Boudoin LeBlanc; brother, Michael Patrick Galliano; sister, Malvina “Jo” Matherne Trahan; and grandson, Steve LeBlanc, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Boudoin, Grant Breaux, Morgan Boudreaux, Derek Breaux, Nicholas Simon, Caleb Fitch, Gabe Boudoin, and Brooks Boudoin.
Honorary pallbearers are Wilton Boudoin, Jr. Michael Simon, Russell Erikson, Connif Boudoin, Jim Carte, and Nicholas Fitch.
The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Betty’s hospice nurse, Katie Louviere, and her incredible sitters, Rose Perrodin Charles, Arianna Charles, Wilnell Paul, and Bethany Hebert, for the tremendous love and extraordinary care given to Mom Betty during the last months of her life.
