Betty Lou Wiltz

Breaux Bridge - A Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Monday, July 21, 2025, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge for Betty Lou Wiltz, 78, who passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Monday from 4:00 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm. Visitation will continue after the service until 8:00 pm. 

A Rosary will be prayed from 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm on Monday evening. 

Deacon Morrison will officiate at the Funeral Service.

Betty was known for her incredible green thumb and a special love for flowers - especially her favorite, the African Violets. Whether enjoying her favorite foods or sipping a Diet Coke, Betty found joy in life's simple pleasures.

She will be remembered as a strong-willed and strong-minded woman, Betty brought laughter, to all who knew her in her own special way. 

As we honor her life, may we carry forward her spirit. 

She is survived by her brother, Paul Wiltz, Sr. and wife, Cynthia; nieces and nephew: Angela Benoit, Sonia Smith, Paul Wiltz, Jr., Ericka Alfred, and Brittany Alfred; Fifteen great-nieces and great-nephews: Vanity Morin and husband Evanson Morin (Griffin, GA), Sidney Smith III and Paige Williams (Jacksonville, FL), Trinity Byers and husband Rashod Byers (Tampa, FL); Colyn, Cole, Landon, Liam, and Laken Wiltz (Dallas, TX); Journey Wiltz, Cameron Alfred, and Tatum Mouton (Lafayette, LA); Sidney Alfred and Kaela Alfred (Austin, TX), and Ryan Alfred (Atlanta, GA); and her extended family, Samantha St. Julian Bellard (Lafayette, LA) and Mark St. Julian (Lake Charles, LA).

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Francis Wiltz, Jr. and Rosie Mae Guidry Wiltz; her sister, Peggy Elaine Wiltz; her nephew-in-law, Sidney Smith, Jr.; and her siblings, Maketha St. Julian and Francis St. Julian.
