Beverly Fremin DeRouen

Lydia Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., on Monday, December 9, 2013, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia, for Beverly Ann Fremin DeRouen, 72, who passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013, at Iberia Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 pm until 9 pm on Sunday at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia; and continue on Monday at 7 am until 9:45 am at St. Nicholas Church in Lydia. A rosary will be recited at 7 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Fr. Gregory Chauvin will officiate at the Funeral Service. Scriptures will be read by Susan Oubre and Stacie Hartweck. Interment will follow at Patoutville Cemetery in Lydia. Beverly enjoyed cooking, but she most especially loved spending time with her beloved family and her animals. She is survived by her husband, Russell Speck DeRouen of Jeanerette; three sons, Craig DeRouen and his wife, Charlotte, of Jackson, TN, Chad DeRouen and his wife, Michelle, of New Iberia, and Clint DeRouen and his wife, Denise, of New Iberia; six grandchildren, Breaton DeRouen of Parks, Chelsea DeRouen of New Iberia, Logan DeRouen of New Iberia, Skylar DeRouen of New Iberia, Claire Evans Broussard and her husband, Trevor, of New Iberia, and Caleb Evans of New Iberia; six great grandchildren, McKenzie Dugas, Madelyn DeRouen, Karter DeRouen, Oakley Viator, Wyatt Broussard, and Hazelyn DeRouen; three brothers, Roy Fremin, Merlin Fremin, and Olan Fremin; her sister, Delores Bienvenue; her brother-in-law, Howard DeRouen; sister-in-law, JoAnn Prince and her husband, Anthony; and three godchildren, Susan Oubre, Stacie Hartweck, and Joey Prince. She is preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt and Flavie Comeaux Fremin; her brother, Dalton Fremin; sister, Louella Fremin Judice; and an infant sister, Mayfee Fremin. Pallbearers will be Breaton DeRouen, Caleb Evans, Logan DeRouen, Trea Viator, Joey Prince, and Howard DeRouen. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Prince and Olan Fremin.
