A resident of Lydia, Bonnie Faye Myers Giroir was born in New Iberia, Louisiana on February 26, 1955 to Loveless Myers and the late Eugenia "Jenny" Hebert Myers. She retired from the Iberia Parish School Board in Food Service. A devout Catholic, Bonnie loved her St. Nicholas church family, and prayed the rosary daily. She was a very loving person with a heart of gold; one of the best people on earth! She took great care of her daddy, Loveless, and looked forward to their daily lunch dates on his front porch. Bonnie was affectionately known as "Mawsie" by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved fiercely. Every afternoon, you could find Bonnie drinking coffee while sitting on her back porch with her dog, Sandy. She loved Community Coffee, Red Hots and angel food cake! She enjoyed dancing, cooking and fishing, but what she cherished most was time spent with her family and friends. Bonnie was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed.

Mrs. Giroir is survived by her loving husband, Paul Giroir, Sr.; daughters, Jill Romero and Joy Romero Guillory (husband Ryan); father, Loveless Myers; sister Amy Falgout; son, Paul Giroir, Jr. (wife Shelby); grandchildren, Skyla Blaylock, Walter "Brud" Theriot (wife Lacie), Brooklyn Stansbury, Brodie Stansbury, Blaze Guillory, McKynli Guillot, Paisley Giroir, and Brooks Giroir; great-grandchildren, Jerrick Gomez, Ashton Theriot, Basin and Lakelee Viator, and Camlee, Dawson and Brily Theriot; partners in crime, Trudy Rush and Fay Hebert; and her beloved fur baby Sandy.

In addition to her mother, Jenny, she was preceded in death by late husband, Bruce Gardner; great-grandchild, Slyvee' Lee; and brother-in-law, Mark Falgout.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Guillory, Blaze Guillory, Walter “Brud” Theriot, Craig Duval, Tyler Duval, Paul Giroir, Jr. and Brodie Stansbury.
