A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 20th at 10AM at Highland Baptist Church, New Iberia, Louisiana for BONNIE Belle Folks Williams, age 80, who peacefully passed away at her family home on Friday, August 12, 2022.
Bonnie was born September 27, 1941 in Church Point, La., to Ivory and Rena Folks. She and her family moved to Opelousas where she met and married her beloved husband of 58 years, Hall H. Williams, Sr. The couple then made New Iberia their hometown where they raised their three children, Patty, Hall, Jr. and Angie. Bonnie enjoyed baking sweet treats for her family, adding to her treasured collections of angels, fine china, and Thomas Kinkade figurines, listening to music by her favorite artist, Elvis, and enjoyed being entertained by the world of wrestling.
She is survived by her husband, Hall H. Williams, Sr., three children, Patricia Holleman (Dwight), Hall H. Williams, Jr. (Stacy), and Angela B. Alfred; four grandchildren Thor Broussard (Jennifer), Brylan Thomas Williams (Tayla), Kennedy Williams Landry (Connor), Travell Broussard, one great-grandson Raijin Broussard, her sister, Geraldine F. Verrett, and was awaiting the birth of another great-grandson, Benton M. Landry.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Ivory and Rena Thibodeaux Folks, and two sisters, Velma F. Lanclos and Juanita F. Hernandez.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana for providing excellent care of their wife/mother over the past few months, and Dr. George Cousin and his staff for their many years of service, support, and medical care.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider donations in Bonnie’s memory to her favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
