Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cecilia honoring the life of Bradford "Brad" Guidry, 58, who passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026 at his residence.
A visitation will take place at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will also be held on Monday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and conclude on Tuesday from 8:00 am until 10:00 am.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday evening by Cliff Hebert. Additionally, words of comfort will be given on Monday evening at 6:30 pm, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
Father Gregory Cormier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Malori Williams, Ella Guidry and Dena Robin. Gift Bearers will be Moira Guidry, Ellis Guidry, Brooklyn Williams, Braxton Williams, Bowen Guidry and Remi-Lynn Guidry.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Brad was a proud graduate of Cecilia High School, where he excelled in athletics, lettering in track, football, and basketball. His passion for sports continued at Tulane University, where he played football. A devoted fan, Brad cheered fervently for his beloved Cecilia Bulldogs and Tulane Green Wave.
An accomplished carpenter, Brad possessed a remarkable talent for woodworking, finding joy in creating beautiful pieces with his hands. His craftsmanship was a reflection of his character-dedicated, thoughtful, and infused with love. He was known for his generous spirit, always rooting for the underdog, and extending kindness to everyone he met.
Brad was a loving son, father, grandfather, companion, brother and friend. He affectionately known as "Pawpaw," to his grandchildren, who he cherished and adored.
A passionate outdoorsman, Brad loved hunting and fishing. He was also a talented cook, renowned for his rice and gravy, which often brought family and friends together. Brad leaves behind an incredible legacy and he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Mary Grace Stelly Guidry; children, Cody Guidry (Tara), Sage Guidry and Malori Guidry Williams (Brandon) and their mother, Paige Moore; children, Christian Guidry, Gabriel Guidry and Carys Guidry and their mother, Cassie Duhon; his grandchildren, Moira Guidry, Ellis Guidry, Brooklyn Williams, Braxton Williams, Bowen Guidry, Remi-Lynn Guidry, Rhett Goudeaux and Alaini Thacker; step-children, Claudia Guilbeau and Hayden Guilbeau; companion, Liz Higginbotham and her children, Jessie, Kagan and Mary Jaelin and her grandchildren; brothers, Donald Guidry (Sharon) and Christopher Guidry (Jenna); and sister, Victoria Bordelon (Gary).
He is preceded in death by his father, Donna Dieu Guidry.
Pallbearers will be Sage Guidry, Christopher Guidry, Christian Guidry, Cy Guidry, Hayden Guilbeau and Brandon Williams.
Honorary Pallbearers will Gabriel Guidry, Kagan Breaux and Gary Bordelon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his children to help defray funeral expenses.
