Bradley J. Gaspard

Kaplan – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Kaplan, for Bradley J. Gaspard, 71, who passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at The Calcutta House, in Lafayette.

Interment will follow in the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Rev. Mark Miley will be the Celebrant.

Visitation will be Friday, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home, in New Iberia, and will continue Saturday, from 7:00 am until 8:45 am.

A rosary, led by Deacon Durk Viator, will be prayed at 6:30 pm on Friday.

Mr. Gaspard was born on November 30, 1951, in Kaplan, to the late Preston and Mae Rose Stelly Gaspard, and was a resident of New Iberia for 46 years. He was a 1969 graduate of Kaplan High School and worked for Evangeline Maid Bread for several years. Bradley enjoyed dancing, hunting, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughter, Dawn Migues (Chris); granddaughters, Morgan Migues (Chris), Magan Migues (Rylan) and Mallory Migues (Jordan); great grandchildren, Braxton Matherne, Dylan Bourque and Aubrigh Migues; and special friend, Mae Dufour Mayeux.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Darlene Mallet Gaspard; brother, Norman Gaspard; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Naomie Mallet.

Pallbearers will be Ian Mallet, Daniel Migues, Mike LeBlanc, Jordan Deshotel, Randy Alleman and Sanford Herpin.

Honorary pallbearers include Todd Mallet, Chris Bourque, Rylan Miller and Chris Bovia.

We would like to thank our family and friends that have given their time to sit with my dad and us, and for the many meals that were provided. Special thanks to Hospice of Acadiana, Alexis our nurse, and The Calcutta House, for their care and comfort.
