New Iberia - Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Brady Jerrod Labit, 37, who died Thursday, February 24, 2011 in Lafayette . Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Born on March 26, 1973 , Brady was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High, and then after graduating from UL Lafayette, he return to NISH as a science teacher. He enjoyed playing tennis and kayaking. Survivors include parents, Renice Jude and Anna Gachassin Labit of New Iberia ; his fianc, Victoria Schousboe of Youngsville; son, Dustin 'D.J.' Labit of Youngsville; grandmother, Odette Labit of Rynella; sister, Dusty Labit Fitch and husband Hoyt of Youngsville; brother, Jade Labit of New Iberia; nieces, Hannah and Isabelle Fitch, Chloe Faith Labit; nephew, Tyson Labit. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jude Labit; grandparents, Elus Labit, Adleys Gachassin; Nola Norris Gachassin; uncle, Kim Labit. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia . A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM Saturday.
