New Iberia A rosary and funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia, for Brandi Michele Berard, 31, who died on Friday, August 8, 2014 in Lafayette. Interment will be at a later date. Deacon Daniel Bess will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 1:30 PM, followed by a Laotian Celebration of Life from 1:30 PM until 5:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Brandi was born on November 24, 1983 and was a 2001 graduate of New Iberia Senior High. She worked at the Hong Kong Buffet, and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and taking care of her nieces and nephews. Survivors include her mother, Ziggy Rayon and husband Ronnie of New Iberia; father, Jimmy Berard, Jr. and wife Anita of New Iberia; grandparents, James and Dean Berard of New Iberia, Wiletta Dotson of New Iberia; brothers, Blanc James Berard and Noah George Berard both of New Iberia; Half Sister, Jayme Brooks and boyfriend Josh Landry of Delcambre; step brother, Clayton Rayon of Indian Bayou; companion, Phetsamone Bud Chanthaphonh of New Iberia; godparents, Troy Berard of Coteau Holmes and Susan LeBlanc of New Iberia; and James Brooks who helped raise Brandi; and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Donald Dotson and Jeffery Brooks, Jr.; and her beloved pet dog, Cloud.
