Brenda Vallaire Brown

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Brenda Vallaire Brown, 67, who passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge from 7:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday.

A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday.

Rev. George-Bede Ajuruchi, SSJ will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Desire Valere and Latasha Seastrunk.

Interment will follow at a later date.

Brenda was born on September 24, 1954. She was a faithful parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Being a CNA for many years, she had a passion to serve others and adored working with children. Brenda enjoyed going to the casino, listening to old-school music, and spending time with her beloved family. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Willie Brown, Jr.; daughters, Lola V. Thomas (John Alfred Thomas, Jr.) and Lori Vallaire (Jonathan Simpson); granddaughter, Kaylan Thomas (Dontavius);  brothers, Matthew Valliere (Susie), Kerbert Valliere, Clifford Valliere, and Bradley Valliere; sister, JoAnna Valliere; sisters-in-law, Amanda Valliere and Elizabeth Valliere; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Valliere, Sr. and Anna Marie Jean Batiste Vallaire; two brothers, Floyd Valliere and Lloyd Valliere, Jr.; great-grandson, Dontavius Jenkins, Jr.; and son-in-law, Christopher Batiste.

Pallbearers will be Kerbert Vallere Jr., Steven Vallere, Ryan Vallere, Jamar Vallaire, Jonathan Matthews Jr., William Parker, Jr. and Floyd Vallaire Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Valliere, Kerbert Valliere, Clifford Valliere, John Alfred Thomas, Jonathan Simpson, Dontavius Jenkins, Sr.  and Bradley Valliere.
