Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2024, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Brenda Lynn Journet, 63, who passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Ochsner St. Martin Hospital.

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Arnaudville on Saturday, September 7th from 7:00 am until 10:30 am.

Fr. Travis Abadie will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery.

Brenda Lynn Journet, passed away on her 63rd birthday. Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, Brenda was a devoted companion, mother, sister, and grandmother. She found joy in playing cards, visiting the casino, cooking, baking, shopping, and cherishing time spent with her family and friends.

Brenda's legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, as her presence brought light and warmth to those around her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory is her companion of 27 years, Willie Carmouche; sons, Joseph Journet, Kendrick Journet, Ronald Journet, Dracolby Journet, Jermaine Carmouche, and Brandon Journet; daughters, Rhonda Carmouche and Jassmaine Journet; brothers, Albert Journet, Wilfred Journet, and Clinton Journet; sisters, Linda Davis, Estella Jolivette, Patricia Lee, and Shelia Garrick; godchild, Candie Dartez; and her grandchildren, Jadien Carmouche, Rondell Journet, Rondaisha Journet, Courtlynn Journet, Rochelle Journet, Madison Bernard, Rylee Journet, Madison Journet, Jassmaine Journet, Monie Journet, Joliee Linden, Kendrick Journet, Jr., Alayeah Journet, Kamden Journet, Macie Journet, Elijah Savoy, Kyontae Journet, Ky'len Prejean, Kerrineisha Pitre, and Brylon Joseph.

She is preceded in death by her son, James Journet, and her parents, Alfred Journet, Sr. and Lodelia Sennet Journet.
