Brenda Faye Racca

New Iberia - A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 22, 2021, at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Brenda Faye Racca, 62, who passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Interment will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville.

Deacon Durk Viator will officiate.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Pellerin Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, and continue on Friday from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.

A rosary, led by the Men's Rosary Group, will be prayed at 7:00 pm Thursday.

Brenda Faye Racca was born on March 22, 1959 to the late Maxine and Harold Paul Racca, Sr. She was full of life and always ready to go anywhere. She loved music and dancing, festivals, going on vacation and to the casino, making wreaths, drinking coffee, and going to all of the kids’ sporting events. She will be deeply missed.

Brenda is survived by three sisters, Vanessa LaCombe and Tina Racca Kading, both of New Iberia, and Bonnie Racca Rogers (husband Irving) of Jeanerette; four brothers, Harold Racca, Jr. (Melissa) of New Iberia, Rocky Racca (Dinell) of Magnolia, AK, Philip Racca of New Iberia, and Troy Racca of Jeanerette; two special friends, the Leray family, and Debbie Robicheaux and her family; 17 nieces and nephews; and 19 great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Marie Racca and Sandy Annette Racca; two brothers-in-law, Jeffery Dale Kading, Sr. and Clarence Robert LaCombe; a niece, Angel Rogers; and a great-great niece, Everlyn Morris.

Pallbearers will be Jordy Rogers, Jeffery Kading, Jr., Brian Delcambre, Joshua Racca, Zack Charpentier, and Brady Rogers.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Hope Hospice and NSI Hospice for exceptional care, and to Jennifer Duncan and Melissa Racca for your help and support during our sister’s illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help offset medical expenses.
