A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Brett Paul Courville, 38, who passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026, in Breaux Bridge.

Brett Paul Courville was on born on August 21, 1988, in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Brett was a devoted mechanic, who took great pride in his work, ensuring that every automobile met the highest standards. His skills in paint and bodywork were matched only by his passion for hotrods and riding his ATV and dirt bikes. These pursuits fueled his adventurous spirit and allowed him to connect with friends and family in a way that brought joy to all around him.

Family and camaraderie were paramount in Brett's life. He cherished the time spent with loved ones, particularly during cookouts where laughter filled the air and memories were forged. His home was his sanctuary, and he took pride in keeping his yard meticulously manicured, reflecting the care and attention he gave to every aspect of his life.

As we reflect on Brett's life, we are reminded of the joy he brought into our lives and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. His memory will forever be cherished, and he will be profoundly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Paula Courville; brother, Tommy Bourque; paternal grandmother, Joyce A. Bourque; his fur buddy, Diamond; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur Bourque; maternal grandparents, Alpha and Leona Courville, Sr.; and his paternal grandfather, John Buddy Bourque.
