Arnaudville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Arnaudville, for Bruno Quebedeaux, 89, who passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Opelousas General Hospital. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm on Friday, and continue on Saturday at 8:00 am until 12:30 pm, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Friday. Fr. Kenneth Domingue will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Readers will be Billy Quebedeaux and Hilda Quebedeaux. Gift bearers will be Hana Quebedeaux, Anthony Quebedeaux, and Brett Taylor. Interment will follow at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. Prior to his retirement, Bruno was a Mate on an offshore dredge boat and also did some farming. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who loved his family dearly. Bruno enjoyed being outdoors tending to his garden and plants. Brunos passion for music never went unnoticed - he was an excellent dancer and an accordion player, as well. He was a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints and looked forward to watching them play every season. Bruno was a very gentle and caring soul his beautiful blue eyes and wonderful smile could warm your heart. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Curlis Quebedeaux and wife Hilda and Eugene Quebedeaux and wife Nancy; his daughters, Sandra Taylor and husband Kenneth, and Lilly Melancon, who was raised by Bruno and his wife; his grandchildren, Jaime Quebedeaux and spouse Brigitte, Billy Quebedeaux, Chad Taylor and spouse Michelle, Cyrus Taylor, Hallie Quebedeaux, Hana Quebedeaux, and Hoby Quebedeaux; great his grandchildren, Anthony Quebedeaux and Brett Taylor; and his step grandchildren, Robert Mark and Mary Martina. He was preceded in death by wife, Modest Pontiff Quebedeaux; his son, Kevin Paul Quebedeaux; his parents, Culisse and Maydelle Angelle Quebedeaux; his brothers, Gilbert, Quebedeaux, Artus Quebedeaux, Holden Quebedeaux, and Nelson Quebedeaux, Sr.; and his sisters, Hortense Fontenot, and Gladys and Clothilda Quebedeaux. Pallbearers will be Eugene Quebedeaux, Jaime Quebedeaux, Billy Quebedeaux, Chad Taylor, Cyrus Taylor, and Hoby Quebedeaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Hallie Quebedeaux and Hana Quebedeaux.
