Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Bryan James Poirier, 53, who passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019, at his home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 5:00 pm Tuesday until 1:30 pm Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Tuesday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Bryan was born in St. Martinville to Bran and Bertina Poirier. He was an avid baseball fan, enjoyed kayaking at Lake Martin, fishing with his son, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Ria Hebert Poirier; son, Seth Poirier and fiancée Savannah Matthews; father, Bran Poirier; mother, Bertina Dauphine Poirier; brothers, Branan Poirier and wife Nanette, and Barry Poirier and wife Erica; sister, Belinda Long and husband Rusty; and his twin grandchildren on the way, Harpier Rose and Dekota Tate Poirier. Pallbearers will be Seth Poirier, Brandon Harrington, Deno Boudreaux, Jarrid Cormier, Justin Cormier, and Josh Boudreaux.
