Candace Marie Huval

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, for Candace Marie Huval, 44, who passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at University Hospital and Clinics in Lafayette. 

A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Breaux Bridge on Saturday from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm. 

A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am on Saturday morning by Deacon Marcel "Butch" Hebert. 

Father Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at a later date. 

Candace was a graduate of Breaux Bridge High School, where she was an avid softball player for many years. She loved being outdoors and on the water - fishing and hunting. Candace also enjoyed doing arts and crafts. She loved her kids dearly and did everything she could for them. Candace was a loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her father, John Huval (Tina); daughter, Skyler Rodgers; son, Sebastian Robin; brother, Joshua Huval; nephew, Jakob Huval; step-brother, Kyle Albert; step-sisters, Kacey O'Neal (Marcus) and Kerri Albert (Ryan); and her significant other, Nathan Normand. 

She is preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Huval; maternal grandparents, Alton and Mary Lou Caillier; and paternal grandparents, Francis and Margaret Huval. 

Pallbearers will be Jarrod Anslem, Dustin Brousard, Robby Soignier, Steve Caillier, Colby Landry and Zack Landry. 

Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Caillier and Margie Soignier. 

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
