New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Monday, January 7, 2013 at St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia for Carmen LeBlanc Hernandez, 73, who died Friday, January 4, 2013, in New Iberia. ;Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. ;Rev. Charles Langlois will be the Celebrant. ;A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. ;Born on October 4, 1939 in New Iberia, Mrs. Hernandez was the daughter of Erwin and Myrtle Robicheaux LeBlanc. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and cake decorating. ;She is survived by her husband, Charles J. Hernandez of New Iberia; daughter, Cathy Leger and husband Kevin of Carencro; sister, Linda Denlinger and husband Ricky of New Iberia; brother, Bryan LeBlanc and wife Joann of Memphis, TN; and granddaughter, Cara Moody. ;The family would like to give special thanks to Consolata Nursing Home, Iberia Medical Center, and to Heart of Hospice for their extraordinary care and support. ;Pellerin Funeral Home, 502 Jefferson Terrace Blvd., New Iberia, LA 70560, 337.365.3331, is in charge of arrangements.
