Carrol Thomassee, a beloved father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on June 24, 1936, in Cecilia, Louisiana, Carrol was a proud son of Louisiana, where he cultivated a rich tapestry of memories through his many passions.
Carrol will be remembered fondly for his warm spirit and generous heart. As the owner of the Cajun King Restaurant in Baytown, Texas, he instilled pride and joy in the culinary traditions of his heritage, sharing the flavors of Cajun cooking with all who crossed his path. Beyond the kitchen, Carrol was a passionate hunter and fisherman, finding joy in the great outdoors. He delighted in gardening and was often found listening to music on his porch, watching the birds that filled the skies.
A cherished storyteller, Carrol captivated those around him with tales from his life, and his love for boxing and classic western movies brought laughter and camaraderie to many family nights. He was known as a reliable handyman, always ready to lend a helping hand to neighbors and family alike.
As we gather to celebrate Carrol's extraordinary life, we find comfort in the memories he created and the love he shared with us all. May his spirit continue to live on in our hearts and stories.
