Cathy Thibodeaux Stephenson

Catahoula - A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Dion Hall in Catahoula for Cathy Thibodeaux Stephenson, 69, who passed away on February 23, 2023 at The Carpenter House in Lafayette.

A visitation will take place at Dion Hall beginning on Sunday at 1:00 and remaining open all night until the time of service at 11:00 am on Monday.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm on Sunday evening.

Father Bill Melancon will officiate at the funeral service.

Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Catahoula.

Cathy was a graduate of St. Martinville Senior High School. She found the most joy spending time with family and friends. One of her passions as baking, wedding cakes specifically. She helped many people celebrate some of their happiest moments. She wore a smile without effort and her kindness and willingness to help friends and strangers alike will aways be remembered. Cathy will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her husband, Neal Stephenson; mother, Leona Lasseigne Thibodeaux; sons, Logan Stephenson (Karen Wang) and Caleb Stephenson (Jamie); daughter, Naomi Mire (Geoff); brothers, Harold Thibodeaux (Mary) and Carrol Thibodeaux; grandchildren, Pearce Hulin, Blythe Hulin, Christian Hulin (Cameron), Emma Mire, Beck Mire, Wyatt Stephenson and Grace Stephenson; and great-grandchild Lilith Hulin.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lincoln Thibodeaux and sister-in-law, Jane Thibodeaux.

Pallbearers will be Logan Stephenson, Caleb Stephenson, Pearce Hulin, Blythe Hulin, Christian Hulin and Pat Stephenson.
