Cecil "Goose" Angelle

Cecilia - A private burial will be held for Cecil "Goose" Joseph Angelle, 91, who passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Everyone knew Cecil as "Mr. Goose". He owned and operated Angelle's Grocery, better known as Goose's Store, for over 50 years. He loved to cut the grass and you could find him on his lawnmower just about every day. Cecil loved to travel with his extended family and loved to do all the driving. As a pastime, he also enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his granddaughter, Simone Trahan Cohn and husband Kevin; grandson, Jordy Trahan and wife Hollie; great granddaughter, Lucia Cohn; son-in-law, Reilly Trahan; and his sister, Barbara Degeyter. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bunice Savoy Angelle; his daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" Trahan; his parents, Florent and Angella Hollier Angelle; sisters, Amy Angelle and Elsie Angelle Stelly; and brothers, Lauray Angelle and Leroy Angelle. "We would like to thank the staff at St Martin Hospital for treating us like family during his extended stay and also a thank you to the ICU nurses at LGMC for going above and beyond to help make him comfortable in his last moments."
