New Iberia - A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia for Cecil Dale Gilbert, 76 who died Sunday, January 16, 2011 in New Iberia . Born on June 29, 1934 , Mr. Gilbert worked for Door Cab. and Avesco. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Helderman Gilbert of New Iberia; sons, Thomas Mark Gilbert and wife Bridget of New Iberia, Michael Alan Gilbert and wife Cindy of Loreauville; sisters, Romina Hartzburg, Alice Peters, Elsie Holloway and husband Ed, Donna Hall and husband Harold, Patricia Boyd and husband Marvin all of Vincennes, Indiana; grandchildren, Ricky Gilbert, Jr., Joseph Gilbert, Tiffany Gilbert, Paige Gilbert, Jermey Gilbert, Kodie Gilbert, Alison Gilbert; great grandchildren, Janie Gilbert, Asyria Gilbert, and Emma Louque. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Lawrence and Helen Wheeler Gilbert; a son, Ricky Dale Gilbert; and a brother, Jack Gilbert.
