Cecile Periou LeGrand

Henderson - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Henderson, for Cecile Celeste Periou LeGrand, 70, who passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:30 am until 10:00 pm on Sunday and continue at 7:00 am until 9:30 am on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday. Rev. Garrett McIntyre will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Gift Bearers will be Dominique Dugas, Bryson Periou, and Megan Dugas. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Henderson. Cecile loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, going to the camp and riding 4-wheelers and the party barge, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Betty Smith of Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Russell LeGrand; her parents, Anatole and Pauline Guidry Periou; and her sister, Mahelia LeBlanc. Pallbearers will be William "Bill" LeGrand, Randy LeGrand, Donald LeGrand, Dale LeGrand, Kelly Grossie, and Todd Theriot.
