Charles Clement

New Iberia – A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 19, 2026, for Charles Daniel Clement, 85, who passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Rev. Keith Landry will be the Celebrant.

Entombment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Friday from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.

A rosary, led by Rev. Keith Landry, will be prayed at 12:00 pm on Friday.

Charles Daniel Clement was born in Dallas, Texas on November 17, 1940, to the late August and Melba Bourdier Clement, and was a 1958 graduate of Jeanerette Senior High. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Marine Corp, then obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering from USL, now the University of Louisiana Lafayette, in 1966. He worked 36 years in the Carbon Black industry, retiring as General Manager for DeGussa at the Ivanhoe Plant. A true sports enthusiast, he never missed the Indy 500 and was an avid LSU fan. He also enjoyed traveling, watching western movies, and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Mr. Clement is survived by his loving wife of nearly 59 years, Vicki Broussard Clement; son, Steve Clement (Julie) of Lewis Center, Ohio; grandsons, Drew Clement and Trent Clement; brothers, Larry Clement (Lynette) of New Iberia, Ricky Clement (Sue) of Jeanerette, and Glen Clement of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Landry.
