Charles William Creighton

New Iberia Private services will be held at a later date for Charles William Creighton, 90 who died on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in New Iberia. A native of Youngsville, Mr. Creighton was born on November 11, 1923, and was the son of Emile Creighton and Anna Broussard. He loved his work as a carpenter, having built many houses in New Iberia, and other areas. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, and telling old stories to anyone who would listen. Survivors include his daughters, Patsy OQuinn of New Iberia, Peggy Creighton of Cade, Charlotte Racheau of New Iberia, Kathy Broussard and husband Kevin of New Iberia; sons, Charles Dean Creighton of New Iberia, Keith Creighton and wife Catherine , his very special loving and caring daughter-in-law, of New Iberia; sisters, Melba Broussard of Milton, Della Aymond and husband Joseph of Arnaudville, Mary Jane Langlinais and husband Johnny of Arnaudville, Susie Betterly of London, Canada; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mabel Vice; second wife, Martha L. Creighton; daughter, Clara Ann Creighton; son, Kenneth Creighton; grandson, Bobby OQuinn; son-in-law, Grady OQuinn; sisters, Beulah Delahoussaye, Heneretta Delahoussaye, Lillian Perot; brothers, Michael Creighton and George Creighton.
